Association "Asian" Her third meeting is held in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, August 7 / WAM / The Southeast Asian Countries Committee (ASEAN), consisting of ambassadors of states members of the Association in the UAE, held its third meeting, where it met with His Excellency Ahmed Ali Al -Sayegh, Minister of State in Abu Dhabi, as part of efforts to strengthen relations between the UAE and the association that the state joined in 2022 as a sectoral dialogue partner, and started implementing the joint action plan for the years 2024 – 2028.
The meeting was chaired by Hussein Bakis, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the UAE, with the participation of the ambassadors of the Kingdom of Malaysia, Brunei Dar Al Salam, the Philippine Republic, the Republic of Singapore, the Kingdom of Thailand, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
His Excellency Al -Sayegh welcomed the ambassadors of the ASEAN -Association countries, praised the progress made in the course of the partnership between the two sides, and affirmed the state’s commitment to consolidating the bonds of cooperation.
His Excellency pointed to the role of the committee as an active platform to enhance coordination and explore new horizons for joint work within the framework of the approved plan, and expressed the UAE aspiration to build on the momentum in the priority sectors.
The meeting witnessed a fruitful dialogue on ways to consolidate relations, as ambassadors put forward proposals to enhance interaction in a number of vital areas, including trade and investment, climate change and environmental protection.
