The UAE continues to win the first places globally in digital transformation

Abu Dhabi, August 10 / WAM / The UAE continues to consolidate its pioneering position on the map of global digital transformation, taking advantage of an ambitious forward -looking vision and national policies that made digital innovation an essential pillar of sustainable development and economic competitiveness.

Public and private institutions pursue policies that focus on “human first” as he benefits from the transformation process and its leader at the same time. Many international reports indicate the accelerated progress of the state in this regard, and its superiority in prestigious global indicators, which establishes its regional and global leadership in the areas of modern technology and smart transformation.

According to the United Nations Report for E -Government Survey 2024, the UAE ranked first globally in the communications infrastructure index, achieving 100%full mark, which reflects the level of spread of digital networks and high efficiency, and translates the maturity of the digital structure in the country.

According to the “Speedtest Global Index” index, issued by OKLA, the UAE maintained the first place globally in the speed of the mobile on the mobile phone from July 2024 until June 2025, registered in the last update of the index during last June the average download speed of 546.14 megabytes per second, ahead of a large difference from the nearest competitors in the world.

During the year 2024, the UAE government recorded remarkable achievements in the field of digital services, as 173.7 million digital government transactions were implemented, while the number of beneficiaries exceeded the barrier of 57 million customers from 1419 digital government services, with a satisfaction rate of 91%.

In a related context, the Emirati cities won advanced ranks on the Smart Cities Index for the year 2025, issued by the International Institute for Administrative Development, as Dubai came in fourth in the world and the first in the Arab world, while Abu Dhabi ranked fifth in the world. This classification reflects the extent of progress in digital services, smart infrastructure, and improving the quality of life in the emirate.

The UAE came at the top of the region within the “government’s readiness index of artificial intelligence” issued by the Oxford Insights Foundation for 2024, which included 193 countries, where the index was based on government efficiency, the development of the technology sector, the availability of data and infrastructure, all of which are areas in which the UAE is confident.

The Intertronal Center for Strategic Analysis in Abu Dhabi explained that the UAE is moving steadily towards the leadership of the sectors of artificial intelligence at the region level, thanks to its qualitative investments in research, skills and innovation.

Experts confirmed to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” that the UAE was not satisfied with playing an advanced role in the field of digital transformation, but rather is a global model in comprehensive transformation and innovation. Rasha Abdo, director of the Strategic Customer Team in the Middle East and North Africa at “Infaibbib”, said: The UAE continues to enhance its global position in artificial intelligence and digital transformation, stressing that it will export it to the communications infrastructure index with a full assessment rate, is a direct reflection of the durability of its digital networks.

She pointed to qualitative initiatives such as the “360 Services” policy of the Dubai government, which aims to provide proactive and integrated services that focus on people, noting that the UAE establishes new international standards in providing digital services in the public and private sectors.

She explained that the transformative framework of the Emirates constitutes a leading model in providing digital services “focusing on man first”, supported by artificial intelligence and automatic technologies at the level of government agencies. She said that the UAE continues the UAE to consolidate new standards in the field of innovation, whether at the level of the public or private sector, especially in the fields of banking services, retail and health care.

For his part, Amjad Al -Sabah, Vice -President of the Group for the Middle East and Africa at Sprinkener, said that the maturity of the digital system in the Emirates has exceeded the limits of adopting technologies to invent experiences that meet the needs of each person, as the aspirations no longer stand at the speed of performance, but rather include the presence of the human dimension and pre -prediction of needs. He added that the design of services and the approach of digital transformation as a priority is essential for economic growth in the UAE.

He pointed out that the UAE goal to double the contribution of the digital economy to GDP by 2030 is in line with expectations that artificial intelligence contribute by 13.6% of GDP, which is equivalent to 100 billion US dollars, which enhances the process of economic diversification and sustainable innovation.
