" ADNOC" Our priority is to qualify our national cadres and develop their capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence

Abu Dhabi, August 12 / WAM / ADNOC affirmed, in conjunction with the International Youth Day, its commitment to giving priority to qualifying its national cadres and developing their capabilities, by expanding their training in artificial intelligence techniques by integrating smart tools such as “Neuron 5” within the curricula of “ADNOC Technical Academy”.
This is an important step within the “ADNOC” strategy that the energy company becomes the most beneficial tools and solutions of artificial intelligence in the world by 2030, and to ensure the ability of the next generation of the company’s engineers to achieve maximum benefit from advanced technologies to contribute to achieving a qualitative shift in the energy sector.
ADNOC has developed “Neuron 5” in cooperation with the “AIC and Aviva” companies, an artificial intelligence tool that monitors the performance of vital equipment independently, and predicts breakdowns before it occurs, which contributes to raising the efficiency of operational operations. The tool was used within more than 20%of the vital infrastructure in “ADNOC”, which contributed to reducing unplanned operations by 50%, and reducing the planned maintenance work by 20%.
Within the efforts of “ADNOC” to expand the scope of the “Neuron 5” tool along its operations, the company continues to train its young national cadres to use this tool in the “ADNOC Technical Academy”, and prepare a generation of qualified competencies to lead the company’s future growth.
On this, Dr. Maryam Al -Hindi, Director of Technical Excellence at ADNOC said that the inclusion of the “Neuron 5” tool in our training programs is an extension of the anticipated “ADNOC” approach in enabling national cadres to benefit from the tools and solutions of artificial intelligence to enhance the efficiency of operations, and this tool depends on instant data collected through thousands of sensors installed on vital equipment, which allows Engineers have to predict potential problems before they occur, and to make accurate decisions that contribute to raising the efficiency of performance and reducing unplanned operation times.
This step contributes to the rehabilitation of Emirati engineers to be fully prepared to contribute to raising the efficiency of operational operations in ADNOC and enhancing their safety and sustainability. It also enables them to employ acquired knowledge and experiences during practical training in supporting the development of their professional paths, and contributing to the qualitative shift witnessed by “ADNOC” in the field of benefiting from artificial intelligence applications throughout its work. ADNOC’s firm adherence to the rehabilitation and preparation of its national cadres is based on its long record of implementing the digital transformation initiatives and plans, and its continuous efforts to integrate the solutions and tools of artificial intelligence in all its operations, starting from the control rooms to the executive management meetings rooms. More than 40,000 employees in the company have completed the training program for the basics of artificial intelligence, and the first batch of the “ADNOC AI Hypothage” program was graduated this year, which included about 150 Emirati engineers who were prepared to take advantage of the tools and smart solutions in various “ADNOC” land and sea operations sites.
For his part, Imran Al -Zarouni, one of the trainees at ADNOC Technical Academy, said that we are receiving an integrated training that combines basic technical skills and understanding the mechanisms of work of artificial intelligence tools, and the exercises that we do to use leading tools such as “Neuron 5” contribute to enhancing our professional capabilities, raising the efficiency of operations, and supporting more speedy and accurate decisions in work sites.
Since its foundation in 1978, the “ADNOC Technical Academy” has contributed to the rehabilitation of more than 6000 Emirati trainees, and has played an important role in developing the capabilities and skills of national cadres in the energy and industry sectors, and today the Academy continues to develop its programs that it provides for more than 1300 trainees in its headquarters in Abu Dhabi and the curse, in a way that keeps pace with the “ADNOC” growth plans, and enhances its contribution to advancing the progress And sustainable development in the UAE.
It is worth noting that the inclusion of the “Neuron 5” tool in the curricula of the academy confirms the company’s firm commitment to preparing distinguished national competencies, capable of meeting the needs of the labor market in the country, and contributing by employing its skills and benefiting from the tools and solutions of artificial intelligence in support of achieving the transition in the energy sector.
