The Minister of Awqaf receives the head of the Emirati Islamic Affairs
Prof. Dr. Osama Al -Azhari, Minister of Awqaf, received today, Tuesday, His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Al -Dari, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments in the United Arab Emirates, in the presence of His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al -Haddad, Head of the Fatwa Department in Dubai, at the headquarters of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Cairo, to discuss the prospects for joint cooperation between the two ministries in the fields of advocacy, scientific and cultural. Experiences in the field of training imams, qualifying preachers, developing religious discourse in line with the requirements of the times, and enhancing efforts to spread enlightened thought, in addition to discussing joint initiatives to confront extremist thought and consolidate the values of tolerance and coexistence. Cooperation with religious institutions in brotherly countries to serve the nation’s issues and enhance joint action.
