"Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi" It saves the life of a Kuwaiti citizen with a dual liver and kidney transplant process

Abu Dhabi, August 13 / WAM / Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Hospital succeeded in saving the life of a Kuwaiti mother to three children, by performing a dual complex operation for liver and kidney transplantation, after long suffering with advanced hepatic disease and kidney failure.

This partnership comes within the framework of joint cooperation between the UAE and Kuwait in the health field.

This partnership, Mrs. Nashmi, enabled her name to be included on a joint waiting list that allows access to suitable donors from the two countries in a timely manner, which contributed to accelerating her obtaining the members required to successfully complete the process.

Since the launch of the program, this cross -border medical coordination has contributed to saving the lives of more than 180 patients in the Emirates, thanks to an integrated system that brings together the efforts of embassies, airports and hospitals, and works highly efficiently to ensure patients reach life -saving care as soon as possible.
