This symposium, which was held today at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Medical Academy Complex, comes within the framework of the “donation of life” campaign, to embody the joint commitment to enhance the culture of giving and saving lives, where prominent experts in the medical, legal and organizational fields gathered alongside a recipient of the cultivation and a donor family, who shared their influential personal experiences.
Issam Balladari, CEO of Dubai Medical City Authority, stressed that this initiative reflects the authority’s keenness to support national efforts that carry noble humanitarian values, while Dr. Ali Al -Obaidli, head of the National Committee for Donation and Organ transplantation, stressed that donation is one of the highest forms of giving, praising the spirit of integration between the authorities to save the lives of patients and give them a new opportunity.
The symposium gave the attendees the opportunity to directly registration in the “Hayat” program, in a move aimed at turning awareness into a tangible work that contributes to granting hope to patients and their families.

Less than a year later, in June 2016, the Medical City witnessed an unprecedented achievement with the first kidney transplant at the Dubai level at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, in cooperation with Mediclinic, Medina Hospital, one of the most prominent business partners in Dubai Medical City.
The Medical City continued its efforts in this context through initiatives such as the “Giving Life Be Donor” campaign while strengthening its health care system to support its specialized partners in this field.
