Hamas agreed to an Egyptian-Qatari proposal that includes a path for an agreement that ends the war on Gaza

Informed Egyptian sources revealed to the “Cairo” news channel, the approval of the “Hamas” movement on the proposal submitted by the Egyptian and Qatari mediation, and aims to reach a comprehensive agreement to end the war in the Gaza Strip.

According to the same sources, the proposal includes stopping military operations for a period of 60 days and re -positioning the Israeli forces to allow the entry of aid, as well as the release of a number of Palestinian prisoners compared to 10 alive Israeli detainees and 18 bodies, while starting from the first day of the truce in discussing the mechanisms of a permanent ceasefire, according to the Middle East News Agency.

This progress comes in conjunction with discussions held in Cairo between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi and the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani.

The spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency stated that the meeting witnessed a joint assertion of the continuation of efforts in coordination with the United States to reach an agreement that guarantees an immediate ceasefire and the introduction of aid without obstacle, and the two sides stressed the categorical rejection of the occupation of the sector or the displacement of the Palestinians, stressing that the only way for permanent peace is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem, East Jerusalem.

The spokesperson added that the Egyptian President stressed during the meeting the necessity of immediate starting in the process of the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip after the ceasefire, calling for the preparation for the “Cairo International Conference for Reconstruction” contract in cooperation with the Palestinian government and the United Nations.
