Ajman Municipality opens a partially after the project to develop the camel Street to serve the school complex in the hill
Ajman on August 22 / WAM / The Department of Municipal and Planning in Ajman announced that it will openly open the work of the development of the camel Street (the first stage), which serves the school complex in the hill area, in preparation for the beginning of the new academic year, as part of its plans to develop infrastructure and improve road quality, in line with the directions of Ajman 2030 vision to build an integrated and sustainable transportation system.
Dr. Eng. Muhammad Ahmed bin Omair Al -Muhairi, Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector in the department, stressed that the department seeks to ensure the quality of life and provide the best services to society, stressing the department’s keenness to implement development work in the schools area during the summer vacation, to facilitate the access of students to the targeted schools and ensure their safety.
He also stressed that the work teams adhered to the partial opening before the beginning of the school year, in a way that guarantees the smoothness of traffic during the season of return to schools, and to reduce traffic congestion.
For his part, Eng. Abdullah Mustafa Al Marzouqi, Director of Roads and Infrastructure Department in the department, said that the development project of the Camel Street (the first stage) extends along a length of 2.5 km, starting from the intersection of Sheikh Ammar bin Hamid Road to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street, and includes the expansion of the road to three lanes in each direction, as well as the development of three intersections of light signals that serve the school complex in addition to implementing a network for rainwater drainage and a lighting network with the construction of a service road And positions.
He explained that the working groups continue their efforts to raise the efficiency of the street and increase its capacity in a manner that guarantees easier, faster and safe to the required destinations, noting that the completion of the project completely will be in the first quarter of next year.
