Ajman’s Special Education Office issues a circular regarding the registration of students with determination

Ajman on August 26/ WAM/ The Office of Special Education Affairs in the Emirate of Ajman issued an administrative circular that regulates the registration and acceptance of students from the owners of determination in private schools, in the context of supporting the state’s directions towards the application of the policy of inclusive education in the UAE, aimed at ensuring an equal education and high quality for all students without exception.

The circular affirms a set of controls and procedures, the most prominent of which is: obligating schools to accept students from the owners of determination whenever the actual ability to absorb them, while granting them and their siblings priority in registration, appointing a head of the integration department within the leadership team in the school, providing integration teachers and assistants according to the need, and completing the approved training hours, preparing the buildings and educational facilities to ensure the ease of arrival and transportation of students, and preparing plans Individual evacuation of emergency, providing support devices and supportive educational resources, in addition to preparing individual educational plans for each student and reviewing them periodically, following up on academic progress regularly, providing specialized treatment interventions when needed, and organizing the subject of additional fees so that they are imposed only according to specific controls and official approval from the office.

The office stressed that the commitment to what was stated in the circular is a prerequisite for the continued license of private schools, stressing that any violation will be subjected to legal procedures and administrative penalties.

His Excellency Mohamed Khalil Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Office of Special Education Affairs in Ajman, said that the issuance of this circular comes in line with the policy of inclusive education in the UAE, and reflects the commitment of the Emirate of Ajman to create a comprehensive educational environment that achieves equality and equal opportunities for all students. Al -Hashemi stressed that the Office of Special Education Affairs will follow up on implementation through periodic supervisory visits, to ensure that schools are committed to what was stated in the circular, in a manner that enhances the quality of programs and serves the national goals of the UAE vision 2031 and Ajman 2030 vision.
