Dubai, August 28/ WAM/ The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology organized a dialogue session entitled “Inspiring Stories: Emirati Women in Industry and Advanced Technology”, coinciding with the celebrations of the country with Emirati Women’s Day, which falls on August 28 of each year.
The session highlighted the prominent presence of Emirati women in sustainable industrial growth at the level of management and competitiveness, highlighting the contributions of Emirati women in the growth and prosperity of the industrial sector in the UAE, in a way that supports the vision and strategic targets of the Ministry, and the “Make in the Emirates” initiative and documenting its sustainable economic and social impact, and continuous efforts in empowerment, motivation and enhancing investment gravity.
A number of women’s leaders in Dubai participated in the dialogue session in Dubai, along with a number of partners and media officials.
Participants in the session emphasized that the Emirati Women’s Day is an important occasion for the UAE society, as it is a tribute to the achievements and contributions of Emirati women in various fields, especially in vital and priority sectors of the national economy and for the UAE society such as the industrial sector and advanced technology.
His Excellency Salama Al -Awadi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Industrial Development Sector, stressed that Emirati women today lead and participate effectively in many important national initiatives such as the “Maken in the Emirates” initiative, the national content program, and the “Manufacturers” program, which embodies the vital role of national cadres in industry and advanced technology.
She pointed out that the presence of women in the industrial sector is no longer just a symbolic participation, but rather has become an impressive leadership contribution, which supports the process of progress, diversity and innovation, stressing that the empowerment of national women’s cadres today represents a priority in building a competitive and sustainable industrial economy, reflecting the vision of the rational leadership of the UAE.
For her part, His Excellency Dr. Farah Al -Zarouni, Assistant Undersecretary for the Standardization Affairs Sector in the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, stressed that the measurement is a vital tool to enhance the quality and competitiveness of national products and services provided, especially within the ‘Made in the Emirates’ initiative, where Emirati women contribute in support to support sustainable industrial growth and improve the efficiency of industry outputs in local and international markets.
She pointed to her completion as the first Emirati and Arab woman to be elected to membership of the boards of departments of international organizations IEC, IEC, stressing that this achievement reflects the world’s confidence in the capabilities of Emirati women, and strengthens the UAE’s position as a pioneering center in the quality infrastructure system at the regional and international level.
In turn, Sarah Al -Maamari, Acting CEO of Strata Manufacturing Company, said that supporting and trusting the rational leadership in Emirati women has opened the doors of great successes in many fields, so I had social, economic and knowledge empowerment, and the stories of their success became familiar and very many locally and globally, and these are evidence coupled with the commitment to resettlement, qualification and training, and embody the true balance between The sexes.
For her part, Aisha Saqr Al -Suwaidi, Chairman of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, stressed that Emirati women are a major partner in the process of sustainable industrial development, and their role has been strengthened in light of the wise vision of our leadership that provided all the possibilities to support and empower them, and the presence of Emirati women in these areas is no longer an exception, but rather a base that reflects the state’s vision in empowering women.
For her part, Eng. Yasmine El -Anzi, Director of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Center at MaxBet Technology, said that in light of the rapid transformations witnessed by the world in the advanced manufacturing sector, women have become one of the engines of this transformative stage, and they are able to lead the industrial transformation in the UAE and the region, noting that about 44% of the current skills in the labor market will change the result of digital transformation and the increase in the adoption of the techniques of the fourth industrial revolution.
