Sharjah Crown Prince chairs the Executive Council meeting

Sharjah, on September 2 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council, was chaired this morning, and in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, and His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, the meeting of the Council held in the office of His Highness the Ruler.

During its meeting, the Council discussed a set of general issues related to the progress of government work, discussing the general policies of government departments and bodies, and its role in achieving the vision and strategy of the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Council issued a decision to amend Resolution No. (3) of 2016 regarding the disposal of vehicles reserved in the Emirate of Sharjah, and the provisions of the decision shall apply to all the seized vehicles, which have passed for a period of no less than (3) months to seize them without their owners or administering them to raise the reservation or release them in accordance with the provisions of this decision.

According to the amendment in the decision, the vehicles will be disposed of after (3) months from the date of signing the reservation on them, and the committee of disposition of vehicles seized by selling by the auction of the vehicles that was seized by the police for reasons related to traffic or criminal accidents after (3) months after the closing of the traffic accident, or the issuance of the judicial ruling after coordination with the Public Prosecution in the emirate.

The Council reviewed the response of the Department of Economic Development on the recommendations of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah regarding the discussion of the department’s policy, where he praised the recommendations offered by the Consultative Council, which will contribute to serving the economic sector and developing it more in a way that reflects positively on the prosperity of society, and the response guarantees the work to put the recommendations into practice.
