The UAE hosts the “World Sustainability Awards for the European Golf Tour” 2025
Dubai, September 4/ WAM/ The European Golf Round Group announced that the UAE will host on November 12, the “Global Sustainability Awards for the European Golf Round” 2025, as part of the activities of the DB World tour in Dubai, the closing event of the “race to Dubai” season.
The ceremony is organized in a form that combines personal attendance and a distance broadcast, to honor the winners from Europe, the Middle East and the rest of the world, in five categories that include: clubs, event organization, event operations, technology and innovation, and hospitality services, provided that one winner is chosen from each geographical region.
The group opened the door for participation, and continues until midnight October 2, 2025, for initiatives carried out between the first of September 2024 and the first of October 2025.
The jury includes experts in organizing golf and sustainability championships, including representatives of the “Geo” sustainable golf.
Nine championships in the Middle East, including seven championships organized in the UAE, are qualified to compete for prizes.
The move comes within the group’s commitment to reduce championship emissions by half by 2030, and to achieve net zero emissions by 2040, within the framework of the “Green Leadership” program.
