The conclusion of a jury interview tour "Million poet" Kuwait
Kuwait, September 5/ WAM/ The “Poet of the Million” program, which is produced by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, concluded yesterday evening, the second round of jury interviews to choose the stars of the twelfth season, which was held on September 3 and 4 in Kuwait, under the slogan “Our Poem One”.
The number of poets who applied to meet the committee in the second round reached 192 poets who presented poems that diversified in their subjects and were distinguished by the power of poetic language and the presence of creativity, while three poets qualified with the gold card directly to the stage of the hundred, in preparation for choosing the list of the 48 poets who will continue the competition of competition.
The tour received a wide media follow -up after it recorded the presence of about 80 media and influencing agencies, which reflects the great interest in the program and media institutions’ keenness to keep pace with his career and monitor the excellence of the participants in it.
The poet Hamad Al -Saeed, a member of the jury, stressed that the participants in the Kuwait Tour presented distinguished poems at high poetry levels, which have diversified in their subjects, innovative ideas and poetic images, which confirms their readiness to compete for the title of this season and extract them with lightning of poetry for the third time in the history of the competition.
He added that the current season witnessed a strong presence in the first and second rounds, and expected that the upcoming rounds will reveal more distinguished experiences, noting that the gold card will remain available to every poet who provides an integrated text in terms of idea, structure of text, weight safety and rhyme, along with the innovative offering and renewed style.
The tours of the program will be completed in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on September 9 and 10, and then Muscat on the 16th of the same month, to be concluded in Abu Dhabi during the period from 22 to 24 September.
With the approaching start of the new season, the “Poet of the Million” program continues to consolidate its position as a platform that combines heritage and renewal, and opens the way for new poetic talents to reformulate the features of Nabati poetry, stressing that it is not just a poetry competition, but a cultural platform and a celebration of heritage and identity that unites the Arabs to the rhythm of the poem and creativity.
