Dubai Chambers Business Community Business for Maritime Transport Laws, Governance and Taxes

Dubai, September 9 / WAM / Dubai Chamber is enhancing the understanding of the legal aspects and requirements for compliance with the country’s business community, and providing it with the knowledge necessary to understand the legislative environment regulating the various sectors associated with the business environment in the Emirates.

Dubai rooms organized three specialized workshops with the participation of 111 representatives of the business community that dealt with topics that included maritime law in the country, the principles of corporate governance and internal control, and the regulatory procedures approved by the Federal Tax Authority.

The first workshop was held in cooperation with the “Stephenson Harwood” and “Charging and Legal Solutions Foundation -Freet Desclass and Le Leijal Solichns, and” National Committee for Shipping and Supply “; It focused on the marine law and the marine shipping sector in the UAE, and presented a comprehensive overview of the marine law, explaining the roles and responsibilities of importers and exporters.

The second workshop focused on raising awareness about the process of registration of the tax agent, and was organized in cooperation with the Federal Tax Authority, as part of the initiative “Teling of Government Bureaucracy”.

The third workshop, which was organized in cooperation with the company “KBMG”, touched on the issues of governance and internal control, where flexible business development strategies were explored by enhancing internal control frameworks and corporate governance principles.
