President Sisi and the King of Jordan are discussing the developments of the regional situation in the wake of the Israeli attack against the State of Qatar

President Abdel -Fattah El -Sisi received a phone call today, Tuesday, from King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The rejected, as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of a sister Arab country, and a clear transgression of the provisions of international law and the Charter of the United Nations. The spokesperson pointed out that the two sides stressed the danger of unjustified Israeli escalation, especially in light of the continuation of the State of Qatar in performing its vital role in the mediation efforts aimed at the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and ending the humanitarian tragedy that the Israeli war left on the Strip for nearly two years. For its stability, preserving its sovereignty, and the integrity and the territorial integrity of its territory in the face of this unacceptable aggression. The spokesperson added that the communication witnessed a consensus between President Sisi and King Abdullah II regarding the importance of continuing the close coordination and consultation between Egypt and Jordan, in light of what the blatant Israeli escalation posed by a very dangerous threat that may lead to the region towards more tension and instability. It was also emphasized the need to expedite the achievement of calm, and to stop all provocative actions that only deepen the crisis in the Middle East.
