"Sharjah Research Complex": The quality of life is an essential pillar for sustainable development
Sharjah, September 10 / WAM / Hussein Al -Mahmoudi, Executive Director of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Complex, stressed that communication plays a role in promoting sustainability and quality of life and supporting the process of economic and social development, pointing out that the quality of life is not limited to health aspects, but also includes the entire lifestyle of nutrition and sports to the balance between personal life and work.
He said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” during the opening of the international government communication activities 2025, which was launched today at the Sharjah Expo Center, that the Sharjah Academy for Research, Technology and Innovation pays great attention to sustainability and works to enhance cooperation between the governmental and private sectors in addition to academic institutions in order to build an integrated system that supports innovation and stimulates development in vital areas.
He added that health and quality of life are not only social goals but also an important economic pillar, especially in light of the accelerated technological development and modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, which has become a fundamental role in improving the quality of life and increasing the average human life, stressing that the complex is working to employ these tools through innovative research projects in the complex.
He noted that the complex focuses on four main axes: health, movement, sustainability and advanced technologies, and they are all closely related to the quality of life and sustainable development that depends on achieving a balance between economic growth, environmental preservation and societies development.
He pointed out that the media, especially digital and social media, plays an active role in communicating these messages and enhancing societal awareness, and that the complex encourages the use of artificial intelligence in this context to provide influential and purposeful content that serves the sustainable development goals.
