For the first time in its history, Etihad Airways exceeds the barrier of two million travelers in August
Abu Dhabi, September 12 / WAM / In Achievement, the first of its kind in its history, Etihad Airways announced that it was transferred to more than two million passengers during the month of August 2025, achieving a new record.
According to the preliminary results of the movement of passengers for the month of August 2025 issued by the company today, this exceptional performance represents an increase of 22% compared to August last year, with the rate of passenger load to 91% compared to 89% in the same period last year.
This historical achievement comes in the context of strong and sustainable growth since the beginning of the year, as the national carrier moved 14.2 million passengers during the first eight months of 2025, an increase of 18% compared to the same period in 2024, and with an average of high passenger load of 88%.
Commenting on these results, Antonalo Nevis, CEO of Etihad Airways, described August as a “historic month” of the company, noting that this standard performance, along with an annual growth of 22% and a occupancy rate of 91%, reflects the confidence of passengers in the work team and the service provided daily.
The Union aircraft fleet is currently 112 aircraft, as the new A321LR enters the service in August, to transport the experience of the wide -body planes to the tight -body planes for the first time in the area.
