The General Authority for Health Care announced the success of a medical team specializing in Horus International Hospital in Luxor, in performing accurate surgery to eradicate a brain tumor using (Awake Craniotomy) technology, as the patient underwent the operation while he was awake for 6 continuous hours, for the first time under the umbrella of comprehensive health insurance and inside the hospitals of the authority and at the level of Upper Egypt region. With full success, as the tumor in the brain speech center was removed without any impact on the patient’s ability to speak or communicate, noting that this process reflects the authority’s keenness to provide the latest advanced surgical treatment techniques and the best medical and treatment packages developed for citizens according to the highest standards of security and international quality.
