The Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean issued its final statement of Sharm El Sheikh meetings

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean, headed by Representative Mohamed Abu Al-Enein, the undersecretary of the House of Representatives, issued its closing statement of the meetings hosted by the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, in which it affirmed its deep concern about the escalation of hostilities and the continued targeting of civilians and the destruction of the basic infrastructure in Gaza, a city strongly the use of artificial starvation as a means of war against the Palestinian people. It is credible towards a comprehensive peace process based on a two -state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative for the year 2002, stressing the urgent need to protect and revive the two -state solution as the only real and just framework capable of achieving peace, security and sustainable coexistence in the region. For the United Nations, calling on all member states that have not yet done this to move forward in recognition of the State of Palestine, in confirmation of the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to establish their state and decide their fate in accordance with the international consensus on the two -state solution. International Justice on July 19, 2024, which affirmed the illegitimacy of the occupation’s continuation of the Palestinian territories and called for its immediate end as a pre -condition for resolving the conflict and ending the violence swirls.
