A framework agreement between America and China regarding "Tek Talk"

Madrid, September 15/ WAM/ US officials said today that the United States and China have reached a framework agreement on converting “Tek Tok” into a US -controlled ownership.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Besent explained that the approach of the deadline on Wednesday, which would stop the famous social media application in the United States, encouraged Chinese negotiators to reach a possible agreement.

He pointed out that this deadline can be extended for 90 days to complete the deal, which Besent refused to address its details, noting that the commercial conditions of the deal will maintain aspects of “Tek Tok” that Chinese negotiators are interested in, including its “Chinese characteristics”.
