Etihad Airways adds Damascus to its network

Etihad Airways has announced a new major destination in the Middle East, the Syrian capital, Damascus, as of June 2026.

According to a press release issued today, this new path reflects the increasing demand from travelers in the Emirates and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries on direct linking trips to Damascus.

These new services provide travelers from Syria, directly to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and from there to the VIII network, with smooth connection trips through Zayed International Airport.

Flights will start to Damascus in June 2026 with four weekly flights on Etihad Airbus A320 aircraft, and includes eight seats in business and 150 -class seats.

Damascus has become the 28th destination that the company announces to operate during the year.
