Cooperation between Ras Al Khaimah Customs and the National Logistics Services Network "NXN"

Ras Al Khaimah, April 20 / WAM / The Ras Al Khaimah Customs Department signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Logistics Services Network “NXN”, affiliated with 7X, with the aim of developing the logistics services system and enhancing the efficiency of operational operations in the emirate.
The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Dr. Rashid Rashid Al Mahrezi, Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Customs, and Tariq Ahmed Al Wahidi, CEO of 7X, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.
The memorandum stems from the keenness of both parties to build a strategic partnership that contributes to developing local and international shipping mechanisms, and enhancing the operation and management of customs warehouses in accordance with best practices, in a way that supports the competitiveness of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and enhances its position as an advanced logistics center at the regional and international levels.
The memorandum aims to raise the efficiency of logistics operations and enable the business environment, by supporting the integration between the digital systems of both parties, and exchanging experiences and knowledge in the fields of digital transformation and logistics services, which contributes to facilitating procedures and improving the quality of services provided to customers.
Areas of cooperation also include developing shipping and customs clearance services, enhancing the movement of goods through sea and air ports in the emirate, in addition to providing integrated shipping solutions that meet the needs of various categories of customers, including customers with cash and credit payment systems, which supports the growth of trade movement and enhances the competitiveness of Ras Al Khaimah’s ports.
The memorandum stipulates studying opportunities to expand the scope of cooperation to include the role of the National Logistics Services Network “NXN” as a national complex for goods and parcel shipping services at the level of the United Arab Emirates, which contributes to building an integrated logistics network linking the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah to the rest of the emirates of the country and global markets, and opens new horizons for diversifying sources of income and enhancing the emirate’s contribution to the national economy.
