An exceptional meeting in Doha .. 5 decisions for the Joint Defense Council of the Gulf States

The Joint Defense Council in the Gulf Cooperation Council held its exceptional session in Doha today, headed by Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman bin Hassan Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs in Qatar, Chairman of the Joint Defense Council in its exceptional session, and in the presence of the defense ministers in the countries of the Council.

Members of the Joint Defense Council discussed the issues and issues related to the Israeli attack and the flagrant violation of the sovereignty and safety of the State of Qatar, and the threat of its security and stability.

The Joint Defense Council condemned in the strongest terms this serious military attack, stressing that this aggressive action represents a serious and rejected escalation, and a serious violation of the principles of international law and the charter of the United Nations, and that the attack on the State of Qatar is an attack on all the countries of the Cooperation Council, and supports it in all the measures it takes to confront this attack, to preserve its security and defend its unity and the integrity of its lands, and that this attack constitutes a direct threat For the security and stability of the entire region.

The Council also considered the attack on Doha to an infringement of the diplomatic efforts and mediation that the State of Qatar is carrying out to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and to release the hostages and the detainees, stressing that the security of the GCC states is all indivisible, according to what was stipulated in the joint defense agreement.

The Joint Defense Council issued 5 decisions, which are the increase in the exchange of intelligence through the unified military leadership, and the work to transfer the image of the air situation to all operations centers in the countries of the Council.

He also decided to accelerate the work of the Gulf joint work team to the early warning system against ballistic missiles, and to update joint defense plans in coordination between the unified military leadership and the Operations and Training Committee for the Cooperation Council countries.

The Council also decided to implement joint exercises between the air operations and air defense centers during the next three months, provided that it is followed by a common actual air exercise.

Members of the Council agreed to continue work, coordination and consultation at all military and intelligence levels, to complete the enhancement of Gulf defense integration, and to work to intensify and link defense systems to confront all risks and challenges, in a manner that ensures the achievement of the security, stability and safety of all countries of the Cooperation Council, and to address any possible threats or attacks that threaten the stability of the region.
