The “Titok” agreement will be signed soon and includes America’s control over the application algorithm

White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitte said today, Saturday, that an agreement to set the American “Titok” platform under American ownership has been reached and is scheduled to be signed soon, with local control over the algorithm, which is the jewel of the crown in the application, while Chinese officials expressed different reactions, and the fate of the application remained uncertain.
Congress approved a ban last year with the support of the two parties, but President Trump has repeatedly ordered his administration not to implement the law while trying to negotiate a deal.
According to the “Axius” website, Levitte told “Fox News”: “We are 100 % confident of the conclusion of the deal, and now there is only its signing, and the president’s team is working with its Chinese counterparts to achieve this,” adding that the deal will be signed in the “coming days”.
Levitte said that the American application “will be the majority of its ownership of Americans in the United States”, and will be under the control of a board of seven members, including six Americans.
“The algorithm will also be under the control of America,” she added.
The accurate composition of the owners group is still unclear, although Levitte confirmed that Oracle will be responsible for the application and security data.
Reports indicated that American users will have to move to a new application, which works with a new copy of the current algorithm developed by “Titok” engineers.
This algorithm is the key to the success of “Titok”, and its control was the most controversial part of the negotiations.
