Ben Touq reviews the details of the national campaign, “The Emirates is the capital of entrepreneurs in the world”

The Ministry of Economy and Tourism reviewed the details of the national campaign, “the Emirates of the capital of entrepreneurs in the world”, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai “may God bless him”, with the aim of consolidating the UAE’s position as a global destination for entrepreneurship.

The campaign is supervised by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism in cooperation with the media office of the UAE government, with the participation of the Emirates Business Council and more than 50 governmental and private agencies, incubators, business parking and academic institutions.

Abdullah bin Touq Al -Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, stressed, during a press conference attended by members of the Emirates Business Entrepreneurship Council, that the UAE continues to consolidate its position as a global destination for entrepreneurship, through policies supporting business and economic activities, and distinguished government initiatives.

He stressed that the campaign represents an integrated national vision to build a global competitive economy based on innovation, investing youth energies, and supporting entrepreneurship, reinforced with practical initiatives and programs, based on numbers and indicators that confirm the UAE’s position as an attractive destination for talents, investors and entrepreneurs from all over the world, and enhances the state’s position as a leading center for entrepreneurship, innovation and the new economy.

Abdullah bin Touq added: “The national campaign (the Emirates is the capital of entrepreneurs in the world) translates the vision of the wise leadership to make the country the first destination for talents, innovators and entrepreneurs globally, stressing that the campaign represents a new strategic station to consolidate the UAE’s position as a global destination for entrepreneurship.”

Emirati entrepreneurship in the field of entrepreneurship globally

Bin Touq pointed out that the UAE ranked first in the world for the fourth year in a row in the report of the International Entrepreneurship Observatory for the year (GEM 2024/2025The UAE also came in the first place, among the group of high -income countries, in 11 major indicators out of 13 indicators, and the report ranked the UAE as the best place to entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises, out of 56 economies.

He stated that the state pumped investments of 8.7 billion dirhams to enhance innovation and the growth of small and medium -sized companies, as part of the “fifty -fifth” initiatives related to the leadership of business and small and medium enterprises.

He pointed out that small and medium -sized companies contributed 63.5% in the non -oil GDP of the national economy until the end of the mid -2022, and small and medium -sized companies account for 95% of the total companies operating in the UAE markets, and while 7 Arab startups joined the “UNCRIN” (with a value of more than one billion dollars per one), 5 companies were mainly launched from the Emirates.

The Entrepreneurship Society in the Emirates combines innovation, modern technology, and sustainability, which makes it a starting station for the world for entrepreneurs, as the state provides a legislative and organizational system that supports the establishment of companies very quickly as entrepreneurs can establish their companies within a few days thanks to smart digital procedures. Foreign ownership of companies also enhances 100% in most sectors from the attractiveness of the Emirati market for foreign investors, in addition to the global infrastructure that is characterized by the country, including international ports and airports linking the world, and advanced road networks to support trade and transportation.

During the press conference, the Ministry reviewed the campaign initiatives, which include, the launch of the Leadership Platform Startupimirates.ae To attract 10 thousand entrepreneurs and create 30 thousand job opportunities during the next five years, train 10 thousand citizens within the “Entrepreneurship Program”, and license 500 citizens to manage housing construction projects within the “Project Management Experts” program.

The initiatives also included the embrace of 250 citizens and their support for the establishment and launch of national real estate companies, the license of 500 and the Emirati taxpayer through an intensive training program for practicing the activity of the accredited tax agent within 3 years, and organizing a national exhibition for all educational institutions in the country to raise awareness of entrepreneurship at an early age, an exhibition for commercial graduate projects, in addition to engaging entrepreneurs in a system in the system Federal government purchases and tenders under the umbrella of the Ministry of Finance.

Enhancing the entrepreneurial environment

In the same context, the Emirates Business Entrepreneurship Council held a meeting chaired by Abdullah bin Touq, Minister of Economy and Tourism, during which he discussed ways to enhance the entrepreneurial environment in the country, support the growth of small and medium enterprises, and enable citizens to create new economic ideas and build their own projects.

The meeting stressed the importance of integrating efforts to coordinate between the federal and local bodies and financing institutions to empower youth through training and qualify national competencies, and noted the need for government agencies and national institutions to contribute to qualitative initiatives aimed at supporting entrepreneurs in government purchases.

The meeting discussed the targets of the national campaign, “the Emirates, the capital of entrepreneurs in the world”, which seeks to attract and train entrepreneurs and support them by providing the necessary infrastructure, increasing the contribution of entrepreneurship and emerging companies to the state’s non -oil GDP, and enabling Emirati youth to launch quality projects that achieve local growth and global competition.

The meeting also touched on ways to enhance the growth and competitiveness of the national economy by supporting small and medium -sized companies, and building new strategic partnerships between the governmental and private sectors, and academic institutions, to support entrepreneurship at the regional and global levels, in addition to rehabilitating the new generation of entrepreneurs through training, support, financing, and legislative empowerment.
