A 4.8 -degree earthquake hit the Aegean Sea in western Türkiye

A 4.8 -degree earthquake was struck on the Richter scale, today, the Aegean Sea in western Türkiye.

The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Administration, “Avad”, said in a statement that the earthquake was at a depth of 8.99 km, without reports of material or human losses.

It should be noted that Türkiye witnessed a devastating earthquake on the sixth of February 2023, which killed more than 50 thousand people and thousands of wounded, and caused great destruction in infrastructure in a number of states.
