Abdullah bin Zayed participates in a multilateral meeting hosted by the US President in New York

New York on September 24 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the multilateral meeting hosted by the United States of America, with the participation of the leaders of a number of Arab and Islamic countries, during the work of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The meeting was held at the invitation of His Excellency Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Turkish Republic, His Excellency Praboo Sobanto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Ministers of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The meeting was also attended by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Youssef Manea Al -Otaiba, the UAE ambassador to the United States of America.
The meeting was held with the aim of holding multilateral talks on ways to end the bloody war in Gaza, reach a permanent and sustainable ceasefire, release all hostages and detainees, and take decisive steps in the face of the worsening humanitarian crisis that civilians are suffering in the Gaza Strip.
During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan appreciated the efforts made by His Excellency US President Donald Trump to end the war and avoid more losses in lives, put an end to the crisis and tragic conditions in the Gaza Strip, and the release of all hostages and detainees, stressing the UAE’s steadfast support for these efforts and all initiatives that lead to ending the Palestinian -Israeli conflict and reaching a peaceful settlement that leads to peace And the permanent stability of the Palestinian and Israeli peoples and the entire region.
His Highness also pointed to the importance of avoiding monoism that undermines the efforts of the international community to achieve a “two -state solution” and establish an independent Palestinian state, stressing at the same time the need to address extremism and terrorism in all its forms and forms, imposing the rule of law and upholding the values of tolerance, coexistence and human brotherhood in the region, in order to achieve the aspirations of their peoples in security, stability, prosperity and sustainable development.
