"Emple" Launching a program "™ Truegreen" To consolidate its leadership in the sustainable iron sector

Abu Dhabi, September 25 / WAM / The Estel Group, one of the largest iron and building materials production companies in the region, announced today the launch of the sustainable iron program “Truegreen”, which constitutes a new strategy identity that reflects the group’s firm commitment to sustainability and unifies its efforts for decades in the field of carbon removal.
This initiative establishes advanced standards for transparency and accountability in the sustainable iron industry, and comes after a series of prominent achievements such as Emstil’s distinction as the first company in the Middle East and North Africa region to obtain a Responsiblesteel ™ certificate, and the first world in the world to launch a pilot project to use electrical heaters in the iron industry.
The sustainable iron program “Truegreen” is an integrated framework in which it allows developers, contractors and financiers to benefit from internationally accredited sustainability solutions, and contributes to achieving the goals of reducing emissions and enhancing competition opportunities in tenders directed to sustainability standards, as well as ensuring compliance with global legislation, led by the European Union to amend the carbon borders. All iron products are provided with documented environmental advertisements from independent bodies, supported by advanced digital systems to monitor emissions accurately, and to ensure the identification of the carbon footprint for each production batch, in a way that establishes the principles of transparency and accountability.
On this occasion, Eng. Saeed Ghamran Al -Rumaithi, CEO of Estel Group, said in statements to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of the announcement of “™ Truegreen”, that the new program represents an integrated umbrella that unifies the various sustainability and climate neutrality initiatives that the company has worked on during the past decades.
He explained that the sustainable iron program allows each product certified certificates from independent international bodies that include accurate data about its carbon imprint, in a way that establishes the principles of transparency and credibility and enhances the ability of customers to meet the growing global requirements in the field of sustainable construction.
He pointed out that these practices give “Estel” products a competitive advantage in the markets and tenders that adopt strict sustainability criteria, stressing that the growing demand for the company’s products reflects the global trend towards reducing emissions.
He added that the group adopted the path of sustainability in its industrial operations, which enabled it to achieve emissions levels of about 45 percent from the global average of the iron sector, indicating that this result came as a result of qualitative investments in advanced technologies to capture and store carbon, and strategic partnerships that strengthened the position of “Emple” among the world leading companies in this field.
It should be noted that the program is closely consistent with the Emirates Climate Neutage Strategy by 2050, and supports the 3.0 National Contributions Initiative, which aims to reduce construction sector emissions by 79% by 2035.
Emstil contributes to the consolidation of the UAE’s location among the most prominent pioneers of the world in the field of industrial carbon removal, thanks to its provision of the rate of density of emissions not exceeding 0.67 tons of carbon dioxide per ton of iron, which is the lowest level of global average.
Through the sustainable iron program “Truegreen” “Emstil” continues to expand its impact through strategic partnerships with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the Emirates Green Buildings Council, and a group of international accreditation bodies, which contributes to drawing the features of the future of low -carbon building.
