Police champions shine in swimming and rescue championship in their 11th edition

Dubai, September 26/ WAM/ The Police Police and Rescue Championship competitions concluded with its eleventh version organized by the Sports Police Federation in the Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai in cooperation with the General Command of Dubai Police and the Emirates Swimming Federation with the participation of 82 swimmers and sacrifices representing 12 teams from various sectors of the Ministry of Interior and police leaders in the country, along with the General Command of Civil Defense, the Special Security Forces, Residence, Foreigners Affairs and the State Security Agency – Dubai.

The tournament witnessed a strong competition in eight various races, which included free swimming, back, chest and butterfly, in addition to individual and group relay and rescue competitions.

The final results resulted in the victory of the State Security Agency – Dubai in the first place with a total of 102 points, while the Abu Dhabi Police General Command came in second place with 75 points, and the Dubai Police General Command ranked third with 39 points.

His Excellency Brigadier General Ahmed Mohamed Mardas, Director of the General Administration of Training at Dubai Police, won the winners of the competitions in the presence of His Excellency Brigadier Dr. Omar Mohamed Al -Khayal, Director of the Sports Police Federation and Chairman of the Sports Committee at the Ministry of Interior, who emphasized that the tournament reflects the spirit of honorable competition between teams and enhances physical fitness and field preparedness of the police and contributes to developing swimming and rescue skills among the participants.

He explained that the championship in its eleventh version is an important station to refine the skills of the police and enhance their field readiness and contribute to raising the level of professionalism and fitness they have in reflecting the commitment of the Sports Police Union to develop the capabilities of the Ministry’s employees and police leaders and upgrade their professional level.
