The Ministry of Sports should support team games financially and morally

The former President of the Emirates Basketball Federation, Major General Ismail Al -Qarqawi, called on the authorities responsible for the Emirates sport to support team games and not only basketball, stressing that “these games are the right to be digested, and the Ministry of Sports must support these games financially and morally.”
Al -Qarqawi, who is currently the head of the Arab Basketball Federation, added, during an interview with the program of the Dubai Sports Channel, saying: “I left the basketball federation and I suffer, because these basketball, plane and hand games do not have stadiums, or halls like the Gulf states, and the fact that the Gulf states have multiple halls and their own headquarters, which is what we miss, although local governments were not shortened in building halls in clubs, but the problem is that the problem About its role, and resorted to turning the halls into a commercial activity, and it is assumed that the goal is to serve the children of the state, but the clubs have rented the halls and left our children playing on the “asphalt”, and there are some clubs that play somewhat, but most of them go in the opposite direction away from the development of games.
He explained that the participation of Al -Ahly and Sharjah youth in the West Asian League from the Gulf Basketball Region in the “Wasl” league, will have a return to the national teams, as each team includes 5 to 6 players in the national team, and friction with different schools.
