The UAE and Greece strengthen cooperation in the fields of control and fighting corruption

Athens on September 26 / WAM / The Emirates Accounting Agency signed two strategic understanding memoranda with its counterparts in Greece, with the aim of enhancing bilateral cooperation and exchanging experiences in the fields of control, integrity and fighting corruption.
This step comes, according to a press release issued today within the framework of the continuous efforts of the UAE to enhance international cooperation.
In the context of the official visit made by the delegation of the Emirates Accounting Agency headed by His Excellency Humaid Obaid Abu Shabas, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the Greek Accounts Court, where His Excellency met with the Sotier Netoni, the president of the court.
This memorandum aims to enhance professional cooperation between the two parties through the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the competent cadres, which contributes to achieving the common goals of combating corruption and reducing its negative effects on economies and societies.
Another cooperation note was also signed with the National Transparency Authority in Greece, during a meeting with His Excellency the head of the agency with His Excellency Alexandra Rogaku, Governor of the Authority.
This memorandum focuses on supporting joint efforts to enhance integrity and trust in the public sector, confirming the commitment of the two countries to combat corruption as a cross -border international phenomenon.
The memoranda of understanding embodies the strategic relations between the UAE and Greece, which is filled with a record of cooperation in the fields of audit and anti -corruption, which reflects the common vision of the two countries in the face of global challenges effectively.
