Our national judo team reaps silver and bronze in "Grand Berry" China

Beijing on September 28/ WAM/ Our national judo team concluded its participation in the “Grand Berry” championship in China today, by winning two silver and bronze medals, the first Arab place, and the eighth at the tournament level.

The tournament was held from September 25 to 28, with the participation of 200 players from 26 countries, including 12 Asian countries.

The player Elisa Letif, the silver, after losing the final against France, Audrey Chomio, won the heavyweight “under 78 kg”, following distinguished results, by beating China Tibi Hsu Wang, and Japan’s champion Mizuki Hysigaa in the judge.

Dhofar Kosov starred and won a bronze weight under 100 kg, and qualified for the semi -finals by beating Japanese Champion Green Kito, before losing in this role against the player of the International Judo Federation team Bellaov Nias, and he moves to the third and fourth places, then outperforms the Polish Kochira Piotr.

The player Naji Yazbek achieved fifth in the weight of under 73 kg, and 10 points in his international classification, and the player Omar Murad also ranked fifth in the weight of under 81 kg and 10 points.

His Excellency Mohammed bin Thaloub Al -Dari, President of the Judo Federation, said that the Emirati sport with the support and directives of the wise leadership achieves sports achievements, raises the Emirates flag in external forums, and steadfastly towards achieving national goals, with heroes who have the competitiveness to reach the podiums.
