"Al Jalila Foundation" It supports 13 strategic projects and more than 9,700 beneficiaries during the year 2025

Dubai, April 16 / WAM / Al Jalila Foundation announced the support of 13 strategic projects and 9,737 beneficiaries from community members during the year 2025, in the fields of health care, education, scientific research and community initiatives, through the contributions of donors from individuals and institutions, which amounted to 435 million dirhams.

This giving contributes to supporting Dubai Health’s vision of improving human health, through its integrated academic health system that combines care, learning, discovery and giving within one system.

Al Jalila Foundation plays a pivotal role in embodying this vision by transforming giving into a tangible impact that reflects on the lives of individuals and contributes to strengthening the health system.

Her Excellency Dr. Raja Issa Al Gurg, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Jalila Foundation and member of the Board of Directors of Dubai Health, said: Al Jalila Foundation’s achievements during the year 2025 reflect the confidence of donors and partners in our humanitarian mission, and the impact of their contributions in improving human health, as this giving represents a driving force for supporting patient care, enhancing education, and accelerating the pace of scientific research. As we look to the future, we affirm our commitment to establishing a culture of giving and enhancing community participation to advance the transformation process towards a more advanced and prosperous society.

Dr. Amer Al Zarouni, Executive Director of Al Jalila Foundation, said: We are pleased with the results achieved during the year 2025, as we contributed to supporting a wide segment of society, as part of our continued commitment to improving the quality of human life by establishing a culture of giving in society, especially since these initiatives coincided with the “Year of Community,” which embodied the spirit of solidarity and cohesion in the UAE.

He added: We extend our thanks and appreciation to all individual and institutional donors for their generous support, which has formed a fundamental foundation for enhancing the sustainability of our programs, and for continuing to develop qualitative initiatives that make a tangible impact on the lives of patients and their families, and support the system of scientific research and medical education, in line with our aspirations towards a healthier and more sustainable future.

Al Jalila Foundation provided integrated health care to 3,628 patients during the past year, through its humanitarian programs, including the “Children’s Fund,” which provides basic medical care for children, and the “Aoun” program, which aims to cover the costs of treating patients residing in the Emirates.

As part of its commitment to supporting education and scientific research, during the year 2025, Al Jalila Foundation provided 44 scholarships to students, in addition to 24 research grants in the fields of cancer, allergies and infectious diseases. These research grants contributed to the publication of 15 peer-reviewed scientific publications, 4 master’s and doctoral dissertations, 67 presentations at international conferences, in addition to 69 training opportunities.

In terms of community initiatives, Al Jalila Foundation contributed to supporting 6,041 beneficiaries, through its various programmes, including 2,209 beneficiaries within the “Taalouf” program to empower people of determination and caregivers, and 3,532 beneficiaries from mobile clinics that provide field examination and diagnosis services, in addition to 300 new members joining the “Hope Council”, which is the first of its kind in the UAE, to provide psychological support to cancer patients.

The Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital, affiliated with Dubai Health, represents one of the most prominent examples of the impact of donor giving. It is currently being built on an area of ​​59,000 square metres, and was designed according to the highest standards of environmental sustainability, to provide an integrated system of care services under one roof, starting from early diagnosis all the way to treatment and comprehensive care. The hospital is scheduled to act as a center of excellence for research at the regional level.

Al Jalila Foundation supports 13 strategic projects through the Hope Fund, which contribute to developing the clinical facilities and infrastructure of Dubai Health hospitals, and promoting innovation in health care by establishing specialized laboratories that support scientific research and improve the quality of services provided to patients.

During the year 2025, Al Jalila Foundation continued its giving through qualitative events that attracted donors and partners, and contributed to achieving a sustainable societal impact. The most prominent of these events are the “Evening of Hope,” “Pioneers of Giving,” and the “Race of Hope.” The Foundation also continues to implement its initiatives within the framework of the “Year of the Family 2026,” consolidating its role in supporting human health and enhancing the quality of life.
