“Global Rail 2025” is held under the slogan “Leadership of the Future of Transport and the Promotion of Global Constituency”, and the most prominent event for the transport sector in the region is hosted by Al -Ittihad Track Company, the developer and operator of the National Railways Network in the UAE, in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and the company “DMG Events”, during the period from September 30 to October 02, 2025 at the ADIC Abu Dhabi Center.
His Highness witnessed the opening session during which His Excellency Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, His Excellency the General Eng. Kamel Al -Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Minister of Industry and Transport in the Arab Republic of Egypt, His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al -Shurafa, Head of the Municipalities and Transport Department – Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Eng. His Highness also witnessed the launch ceremony of the project to activate the safe customs corridor of the Etihad train between Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi and Fujairah ports, with the aim of strengthening Train transportation operations, and the signing ceremony of memoranda of understanding between the Federation trains, the Italian company “Mirmek” on enhancing the ways of cooperation in the field of signals and technologies for railways, a memorandum of understanding between the Federation trains and the Railway Ministry in the Republic of Turkmenistan, to enhance international cooperation and exchange knowledge in the railway, and a memorandum of understanding between the Federation trains, and the company “Rights Ltd.” to explore investment opportunities And cooperation in the field of business.
His Highness Sheikh Dhiab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said: “The global event” Global Rail 2025 “comes in line with the growing position of the UAE as a reliable international platform for global dialogue and cooperation in the global transport sector, providing an opportunity for decision makers and sector leaders from different countries of the world to exchange experiences, acquaintances, enhance partnerships, and explore innovative solutions to advance the future of transportation and infrastructure, with focus In innovation as a global and national trend, and a basic pillar of the success of various sectors, including the railway sector, through which the UAE continues to build bridges of communication and innovation between different countries of the world.
His Highness praised the continuous progress made by the UAE through infrastructure projects, including the national rail network, which is mainly possible for the integrated transportation system in the country. His Highness pointed out that these achievements enhance the competitiveness of the state, and help forming a future in which transportation is safer, intelligent and observance of environmental considerations, in addition to increasing the level of global interdependence.
For his part, His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, during his participation in the main ministerial session of the International Exhibition and Conference on Railways, Transport and Infrastructure “Global Rail 2025”, stressed that transport networks are today a basic pillar in enhancing regional economic integration, and it is no longer just a national priority, but has turned into a joint ambition that promotes long -term prosperity for the countries of the region.
His Excellency said: “The UAE, thanks to the visions of its wise leadership, made large strides in building an advanced infrastructure for transportation, representing a leading model at the national and regional levels, which was reflected through the success achieved by the national rail network, which extends over a distance The passengers next year 2026, for their capacity by 2030 to 60 million tons of goods and 36 million passengers annually, contributing to supporting the sustainable development goals, reducing emissions, and enhancing the competitiveness of the national transport sector.
His Excellency added: “At the regional level, we are witnessing tangible progress in linking projects outside the country, including the joint rail network between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman, with a length of 238 km and a value of $ 2.5 billion. It is a strategic investment in the future of mobility, which contributes to reducing the time of transporting goods between the two countries, and enhances the efficiency of regional trade movement.”
The “Global Rale 2025” version this year aims to stimulate the global dialogue to develop the sector, and to turn its outputs into concrete actions that serve the sector by concluding rewarding partnerships in the field of transport, infrastructure and railways, to lay the foundations of the future of sustainable transport.
