Saudi representative to the marine organization: We continue to work closely with the Emirates to support joint initiatives

Dubai on October 1 / WAM / His Excellency Mohammed Al -Junaidi, the delegate of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the International Maritime Organization, affirmed that close cooperation between the Kingdom and the UAE represents a strategic partnership that enhances the position of the two countries in the global maritime transport sector by coordinating efforts and supporting joint initiatives in the areas of sustainability and maritime safety.
Al -Junaidi said in statements to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of the parallel maritime event for the World Maritime Day, which is held over two days in Dubai, that the Kingdom continues its support for the qualitative international maritime organization initiatives, including “IMO CARES”, “Global Noise”, “Global Letter” and “Global Full”, in addition to the “Next” initiative Wave ”, which harnesses Saudi ships to train about 20 cadres of island and developing countries.
He pointed out that the Kingdom, since the launch of the “Saudi Vision 2030”, has given the transportation and logistical services sector a strategic priority, which contributed to the development of smart ports, raising the efficiency of cargo handling and developing human cadres to keep pace with global variables and achieving the goals of sustainable growth in the marine industry.
He pointed out that Saudi Arabia is leading regionally and occupies the twentieth rank globally in terms of the folding load, as its ships roam international ports under the Saudi flag according to the highest safety standards, at a time when the Kingdom continues its efforts to enhance the sustainability of maritime transport and participate in international initiatives supporting the environment.
