Abu Dhabi, October 2/ WAM/ Poets participating in the interviews of the jury of the “Poet of the Million” program praised the great role played by the program in supporting their literary career.
This came during the second documentary episode of the twelfth season of the program, which is produced by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority under the slogan “Our Poem One”.
The episode was devoted to the interviews of the jury that took place in the Kuwaiti capital on September 3 and 4, with the participation of 192 poets, the committee authorized 185 of them, while 3 poets obtained the gold card that qualifies them directly to the stage of the “hundred” preceding to choose the final list consisting of 48 poets, namely: Saleh Al -Mutairi, Muhammad Nayef Al -Shatri, and Sultan Al -Hawali.
The poets who obtained the jury’s leave stressed the importance of the program in highlighting their works and personal stories, and providing a greater opportunity to communicate with a wide audience of poetry lovers in various regions.
As for the poets who were not lucky to obtain the leave, they expressed their benefit from the monetary observations presented by the committee, considering that they are an incentive to hone their skills and enhance their creative capabilities in the future and described their experience with the program as a valuable opportunity to gain experience and appear with greater confidence in the coming seasons.
The episode started with conversations with the jury members, Dr. Ghassan Al -Hassan, Dr. Sultan Al -Amimi, and the poet Hamad Al -Saeed, who reviewed the influence of the environment in the inspiration of poets, the importance of keeping the first drafts, writing with a pen or keyboard, and the best times of writing and their daily routine, along with the role of the family in supporting the poet’s march, then the interviews that witnessed the recitation of poems that diversified in their subjects were launched, expressing the feelings of sadness And joy, nostalgia and determination.
The episode also included the “Interactive Studio” paragraph, which documents the most prominent moments and impressions, and presents a picture of the atmosphere of interviews and what is going on behind the scenes.
The paragraph of “The Pillars of the Nabat” dealt with the life of the poet Murshid Al -Bathal and his poetic contributions, with the participation of his grandchildren, along with Nassar Sattam Al -Khumsan, Director of the Diwaniyah of the Nabat Poets in Kuwait, and highlighted the Mubarakiya market as one of the most important economic centers of Kuwait, while highlighting the features of the urban renaissance, modern towers and the future vision of Kuwait.
The episode included documenting the visit of the “Poet of the Million” team and members of the jury to the Diwaniya of Nabat Poets in Kuwait, which is a leading poetic platform since its foundation in spreading poetic culture, supporting young talents and preserving Nabati poetry.
The field tour of the team and the committee in Kuwait, which included the attendance of the ceremony held by the poets of Kuwait to celebrate them, in addition to a dialogue session with the poet Talal Saeed.
The episode also dealt with a dialogue symposium that brought together the members of the committee and a number of poets of previous seasons, during which they reviewed their memories related to Kuwait’s tours through the history of the competition, and discussed the development of Nabati poetry and the role of poets in preserving this legacy.
