Forbes Middle East launches the summit of “Sustainability Leaders” in its third version

Forbes Middle East is preparing to launch the third edition of the Sustainability Leaders Summit, headed by Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Dr. Amna Bint Abdullah Al -Dahhak, where the summit is held in cooperation with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, and in a strategic partnership with the Environment Authority – Abu Dhabi, the Zayed Sustainability Award, and the Zayed High Foundation for People of Determination, while the NMDC group participates as a major partner for the event.
On October 14 and 15, 2025, Abu Dhabi, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center “ADNEC”, will host the activities of the summit under the slogan “Estidas with inheritance, in compliance with sustainability”.
A group of leaders, policy makers, large investors and international experts in the field of sustainability will participate in the summit, to discuss innovative solutions that enhance the balance between economic development and environmental preservation, according to a statement issued today.
Among the most prominent participants, Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions, Sheikh Dr. Majid Sultan Al Qasimi, Founding Partner and CEO of Soma Matter, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, Omar Ahmed Al Suwaidi, and Secretary -General of the Environment Authority – Abu Dhabi, Dr. Sheikha Salem Al Dhahiri, and Chairman of the Security Council The government of the UAE, Dr. Mohammed Al -Kuwaiti, and the CEO of “NMDC” group, Yasser Zaghloul.
The summit highlights major axes, the most important of which is the leadership of the UAE in climate work and the role of environmental, social and institutional governance (ESG) in supporting economic growth, the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors to achieve expandable sustainable solutions, in addition to discussing the industrial transformation towards reducing emissions.
The axes also include the role of capital addressed with the goals in achieving a comprehensive national value, and accelerating the transformation in the energy sector towards flexible systems for a carbon -free future, as well as highlighting the contributions of youth and entrepreneurs in leading a sustainable transformation globally.
Al -Dahhak said: “We are guided by the legacy of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, in making sustainability a basic pillar of our renaissance. This includes the role of the UAE youth in drawing environmental policies and climate diplomacy, as well as highlighting the startups led by young people in the areas of the green economy, media and climate communication.
You will also have ways to empower youth with sustainable job opportunities and a neutral economy for carbon, enhance the cooperation between the public and private sectors, and support the innovations of the circular economy and reduce waste.
Besides, the most prominent activities of the summit include a ceremony honoring the celebration of the executives and senior officials who contribute to paying the sustainability agenda.
