The Mufti of the Republic mourns the eminent scholar, Dr. Ahmed Omar Hashem
With greater contentment with God’s will, Dr. Nazir Muhammad Ayyad, the Grand Mufti of the Republic, head of the General Secretariat for the role and fatwa bodies in the world, mourned the great scholar and venerable hadith scholar, Dr. Ahmed Omar Hashem, former president of Al-Azhar University, member of the Council of Senior Scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and one of the figures of hadith and preaching in the Arab and Islamic world.
The Grand Mufti of the Republic confirmed that the deceased, may his soul rest in peace. God – He was a great scholar and a great hadith scholar, with a deep understanding of the meanings of texts, well-established in the knowledge of the Prophet’s hadith in its chain of transmission and text, an expert on the conditions of men in terms of both parts and parts, and he was an eloquent orator, with extensive knowledge and culture. With his death, the world lost an luminous lamp from the lamps of the Islamic call. He spent his life in the service of knowledge and its people, teaching, advising and directing, leaving the scientific library. A precious legacy of valuable works on hadith, advocacy, and morals.
The Mufti of the Republic offered his sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to the Arab and Islamic nation, and to his family, relatives, lovers, colleagues, and students, asking God Almighty to cover the deceased with His vast mercy, and dwell him in His spacious Paradise. «To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return»
