Ronaldo becomes the first football player to win the title of billionaire

Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first football player to win the title of billionaire, thanks to the generous contract he recently signed with the Saudi Al-Nasr Club, under which he receives 298 million pounds sterling over two years, and 12 million and 500 thousand pounds sterling weekly.
According to Bloomberg News Agency, Ronaldo became the first football player to obtain the title of billionaire, based on the salaries he earned during the period between 2022 and 2023, in addition to the returns from commercial agreements and sponsorship contracts.
Ronaldo’s monthly salary, 40 years old, at Al-Nasr Saudi Arabia exceeds what Argentine star Lionel Messi receives annually with Inter Miami, and he also earns twice what former English star David Beckham received.
In addition to his huge profits, Ronaldo has collected 410 million pounds from advertising over the past two decades, including 13.4 million pounds annually from the sports supplies company Nike.
Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nasr includes the provision of two chefs, three gardeners, four security guards, a private plane, and three drivers, in a scenario completely different from the beginning of his life, where he shared a bedroom with his brothers in a narrow house on the island of Madeira, and when he was twelve years old, he asked for leftovers from McDonald’s restaurant.
Ronaldo intends to continue playing until the age of forty-two, and is expected to participate with the Portugal national team in the World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada next year.
Ronaldo did not set a date for his retirement when he received an award in his country, Portugal, this week. The British newspaper “The Sun” quoted him as saying, “I cannot make long-term plans. I make short-term plans because they give me more energy and a greater desire to live.”
Bloomberg News Agency indicated that Ronaldo relies mainly on the Portuguese banker Miguel Marques, who is 52 years old, to manage his net worth estimated at one billion and 400 million dollars.
Ronaldo’s business relationships are based on trust and loyalty, according to sources familiar with his dealings, as the player prefers to consult a close group of advisors and friends when making investment decisions, especially those who show reservations.
As for individuals who he believes are reckless, he quickly takes them back from his close circle.
