President Sisi affirms Egypt’s keenness to enhance cooperation with Germany in various fields
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with Germany in various fields.
This came during the phone call that the President received, today, Friday, from German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, stated that the call dealt with the latest developments in the Egyptian efforts made in coordination with the concerned parties. To end the war in Gaza, where Mr. President reviewed the details of the agreement reached on the eighth of this month in Sharm El-Sheikh. He also presented Egypt’s vision for the next stage, and the mechanisms for implementing the agreement based on the plan of US President Donald Trump, stressing in this regard the importance of preserving the role and status of the Palestinian Authority, and creating the appropriate conditions for establishing the Palestinian state in accordance with the decisions of international legitimacy. He indicated his aspiration for Egypt to host the Gaza Strip Reconstruction Conference.
