" Fujairah Environment Authority" A dialogue session will be organized during the Nature Conservation Conference

Abu Dhabi, 11 October / WAM / During its participation in the World Conservation Congress 2025, currently being held at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi, the Fujairah Environment Authority organized a dialogue session entitled “Monitoring Owl Species in Wadi Wurayah.”
The session – presented by Samiullah Majeed, wild biodiversity inspector at the Fujairah Environment Authority – focused on the mechanism for documenting owl species in Al Wurayah, which resulted in the recording of 7 owl species in the environment of the Emirate of Fujairah out of 9 in the UAE, led by the rare Omani owl.
For his part, Dr. Ali Al-Hamoudi, Director of the Biodiversity Department at the Authority, said that the wild biodiversity team works to document wildlife in the Emirate of Fujairah in various ways in cooperation with the local community, especially volunteers, the most prominent of which are camera traps that monitor wildlife in rugged mountainous areas where animals and birds make their homes due to the scarcity of human activities there, stressing the keenness to be present in such international forums that allow The opportunity to review the Authority’s efforts to protect the nature of the Emirate of Fujairah.
