The World Cup flirts with “White” in “Doha of Love”

Emirati artist Abdullah Belkhair expressed his happiness with the victory achieved by the national team over its Omani counterpart by two goals to one, yesterday, in the Asian continent’s qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, stressing that the World Cup is strongly courting “the Whites” from the heart of the Qatari capital, Doha.

Balkhair told «Emirates Today» that he was proud of the performance provided by the national team, explaining: “I came to support the team in this decisive match, as the victory was difficult, but it is a good indicator of the “white” being close to qualifying for the World Cup from the heart of “Dohat Al-Hob” after the team played a great match.”

He added: “The match was strong, especially since the Oman national team advanced with an early goal, and its players were highly organized in defence, which made the match more difficult for the national team players.”

He continued: “The second half witnessed clear superiority on the part of Al-Abyad and the team deserved the victory, bringing it a very important step closer to advancing to the World Cup.”

He pointed out that the Omani national team deserves praise and appreciation, and said: “I hope that the Omani national team will be successful in the coming times, as it played a great match, but this is football, there must be a winning team and a losing team.”

Abdullah Belkhair sent a message to the national team players before the expected confrontation that the team will play the day after tomorrow against the Qatar national team, and said: “You are our hope, and we hope that you will give everything you have in this decisive match, and that you will fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the Emirates football fans by qualifying for the big event in the United States of America, Mexico and Canada, as we have great confidence in your abilities.”

He concluded his statements by saying: “Regardless of the identity of the team that will qualify for the World Cup, we are happy to be in the Qatari capital, Doha, which has made us live wonderful days, as football brings people together, and we wish success to the team that will advance to the World Cup from these qualifiers.”
