The Prime Minister is following up on the position of the project to develop the integrated system for information of the Central Passports Authority

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, in a meeting held this evening at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, followed up on the position of the project to develop the integrated system for the information of the Central Passport Authority, the administration and control of ports, and the issuance of electronic visas, in the presence of Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Ahmed Kojok, Minister of Finance, Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation, Engineer Raafat Hindi, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Technological Infrastructure and Digital Transformation Affairs, Major General Ashraf Eliwa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Company for Tracking and Information Technology Services ETIT, Ambassador Haddad El-Gohary, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs, and officials of the relevant ministries and authorities.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology referred to The goal of the project is to transform the tourist visa system from paper forms to a digital version based on the quick response code (QR Code), reduce congestion at airports, improve the work environment of the ports, enhance security, improve real-time data collection and link it to decision-making centers, raise the efficiency of tourism services, enhance Egypt’s global competitiveness, and enable decision makers to have immediate access to data. And analyze it to support information-based policies and procedures.

During the meeting, Engineer Raafat Hindi reviewed the position of the project to develop the Central Passports Authority’s information system, management and control of ports, and issuance of electronic visas.

The Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Technological Infrastructure and Digital Transformation Affairs explained that the scope of the project’s work includes 42 air, land and sea ports and 40 residence offices. And 165 consulates and embassies, reviewing in this context the current operational position of the project.

Hindi also presented Proposal for the first phase of the project, its details, as well as the successive phases of the project.
