"New birth".. The launch of the twelfth international conference of the Afro-Asian Peoples’ Solidarity Organization.. next Sunday

The twelfth international conference of the Afro-Asian Peoples Solidarity Organization, entitled “A New Birth,” will begin next Sunday, under the patronage of Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Egyptians Abroad. The conference will be chaired by Ambassador Mohamed Al-Orabi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, President of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, President of the Afro-Asian Peoples’ Solidarity Organization, and member of the Egyptian Senate.

 

Journalist Abdel Qader Shehayeb, Chairman of the Egyptian Committee for Afro-Asian Solidarity, explained that the conference will decide to approve the Egyptian Committee’s nomination of Ambassador Al-Orabi as president.

 

He indicated that a Secretary-General of the organization would be elected from among two candidates, namely: Tala’ Al-Saud Al-Atlantic, the candidate for the Moroccan committee, and Muhammad Ihsan, the candidate for the Iraqi committee.

Shehayeb indicated that the conference would discuss the current conditions in the Middle East region, and the positive developments that resulted from the Egyptian efforts, which culminated in By signing the agreement to end the war on the Gaza Strip.

 The conference will be attended by representatives of solidarity committees in Arab, African and Asian countries.
