Launching domestic help services "Work package"
DUBAI, 13th October, 2018 (WAM) – The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in cooperation with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, the Emirates Health Services Corporation, the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, and the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, launched support workers services within the “Work Package”, in line with the government’s trend to eliminate bureaucracy and provide services focused on improving the customer experience, raising government efficiency, and enhancing competitiveness. The attractiveness of the UAE as an ideal global destination for living and working.
The new service allows the completion of services for issuing, renewing and canceling residency permits for domestic workers, as well as medical examination services, through the unified digital platform of the “Work Package”, which is “Work in the Emirates” (workinuae.ae).
Customers can obtain residency services for domestic workers easily and smoothly, by filling out the unified form for the service package, entering the domestic worker’s details, the type of ID and passport, where the employment contract is signed electronically through the platform, followed by a medical examination for the worker, with the results of the examination sent through the aforementioned platform, and the Emirates ID and residency are issued.
His Excellency Khalil Ibrahim Al-Khouri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for Labor Market Operations and Emiratisation, praised the level of partnership, cooperation and integration of roles between all partners in expanding the “work package” to include “auxiliary labor” services, which meets the requirements of the bureaucracy zeroing programme, in response to the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him.”
He said that the launch of the new services within the “Work Package” comes after the great successes achieved by this package, and in continuation of the pioneering results achieved through the experience of launching domestic labor services within the “Invest in Dubai Package” and “Dubai Now” package earlier, which confirms that the UAE is moving confidently towards consolidating its global leadership in providing integrated government services that meet customers’ expectations, especially by investing in digital development and intelligence outcomes. For his part, His Excellency Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, referred to the new strategic direction of the UAE government in the field of government services, which is integrated service packages, explaining that the work package represents a pioneering model of integration and cooperation between government agencies in a way that enhances the country’s leadership in government services, facilitates the customers’ journey and enables them to obtain fast, comfortable and safe services.
He explained that reducing the channels and steps for obtaining and completing the service contributes to improving the quality of life of society and supports the well-being and comfort of its members. It also achieves the goals of the zero-bureaucracy program adopted by the federal government based on the directives of the wise leadership. This reduction would reduce time and effort for customers and raise their level of happiness.
His Excellency added that this reduction contributes to redirecting their human and material resources and potential to other aspects that enhance their quality of life, in addition to that it will undoubtedly reduce the government burdens associated with providing this type of services, indicating that adding domestic labor services to the “work package” serves a large segment of citizens and residents in the country and enables them to complete their transactions through one platform and with simple procedures that preserve all rights, praising the level of Efforts made to achieve electronic connectivity between relevant government agencies.
The “Work Package” is considered a unique pioneering experience due to the integrated digital capabilities it provides for managing employee services in the UAE, through a seamless user experience represented by a unified request, a form, and a unified payment mechanism in which the concerned authorities participate, and the feature of requesting information once, canceling visits to complete transactions and reducing attachments, based on the exchange of data between the concerned authorities through unified linking mechanisms, which enables them to provide services.
