The United Nations allocates an additional $11 million to support humanitarian operations in Gaza

The United Nations announced today, Monday, the allocation of an additional $11 million from the Humanitarian Emergency Fund, to support the expansion of humanitarian operations in the Gaza Strip before the onset of winter.

Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for the United Nations, said that this additional funding comes after humanitarian aid officials transferred $9 million last week, to ensure the provision of sufficient supplies of fuel and basic materials necessary for life in Gaza after the moratorium took effect.
