The Governor of Giza inspects the mines of the Iron and Steel Company for Mines and Quarries in the Bahariya Oasis
Engineer Adel Al-Najjar, Governor of Giza, inspected the mines of the Iron and Steel Company for Mines and Quarries in the Bahariya Oasis Center, as part of the governorate’s keenness to follow up on productive activities and industrial projects that represent one of the pillars of the national economy. During the tour, the governor listened to a detailed explanation from company officials about the stages of extracting iron ore from the ground and the mechanisms for separating raw materials and classifying them according to their quality in preparation for transporting them to iron and steel factories for re-smelting and manufacturing.
Engineer Adel Al-Najjar praised the efforts of the company’s workers. And their vital role in supporting the national industrial sector, stressing that the state pays great attention to developing mining exploitation areas in the Bahariya Oasis due to its enormous natural resources that contribute to advancing development.
The governor also directed the necessity of applying the highest standards of occupational safety and health within work sites, preserving the surrounding environment, and providing means of comfort and support. For miners, he pointed out that the continuous field monitoring of production sites comes in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to maximize the use of natural resources and enhance investment opportunities in various sectors.
