This came during his Eminence’s speech at the “Misconceptions Among Youth” symposium. For students of Giza Governorate schools, which was hosted by Saidiya Secondary School, in the presence of Dr. Iman Mohamed Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, Mr. Saeed Mahmoud Attia, Director of the Giza Directorate of Education, Mr. Badawi Abdel Qader Allam, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, parents and teachers, and a number of leaders of the Ministry of Education. Creeping into the minds of young people is the belief that religion stands against science or limits civilization and progress, stressing that the true construction of nations is based on two complementary wings, a material wing represented by construction and construction, and a spiritual wing based on religion and morals. He pointed out that civilizations that were based on matter alone quickly disappeared, because civilization without values has no survival, just as morals without religion have no stability, explaining that the Islamic religion combined The goodness of this world and the hereafter, and linking knowledge with action and faith with behavior. The result was a sophisticated human civilization that extended from the East to the West, whose banner was carried by scholars who combined religion, reason, and useful knowledge.

His Eminence the Mufti pointed out that among the most prominent sources of misconceptions are ignorance, the desire for imitation and blind imitation, and some social media means that spread information without verification, as well as companions Bad, warning young people against being led by everything that is published through the digital space without verification or scrutiny, calling for conscious use of technology as a means of knowledge and not a tool for destruction or deviation, indicating that a person should employ it in what benefits him and his country, and be aware of the intellectual and moral risks that may arise from uncontrolled use, stressing that true freedom does not mean unruliness or Violating the rights of others is a responsibility governed by religious and moral conscience, warning against flashy slogans raised in the name of freedom while hiding behind them attempts to destroy values and corrupt morals.

His Eminence the Mufti concluded that preserving cultural and linguistic identity represents one of the most important pillars of awareness and belonging, stressing the necessity of taking pride in the Arabic language as it is the vessel of thought and the tongue of the Qur’an, and not Replacing them with foreign languages in daily communication or writing, explaining that the relationship between parents and children must be based on understanding, love, and the transfer of experience, not on conflict or oppression, as some biased people promote, pointing out that parental guidance, even if it is accompanied by firmness, stems from compassion and the desire to improve their situation.

The symposium witnessed a large attendance from faculty members and administrators.
