The US Secretary of War sits in front of Zelensky wearing a tie in the colors of the Russian flag
US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth arrived at a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky wearing a tie in the colors of the Russian flag.
White, blue and red also appear on the American flag, as these colors are considered the Russian national colors. However, what made the situation even more strange was that the tie of the US Secretary of Defense, who was sitting in front of Zelensky, bore the same order of colors as the Russian flag: white at the top, blue at the bottom, then red. Below it, there was another identical combination of the three colors.
US President Donald Trump expressed, on Friday, his confidence that the process of resolving the conflict in Ukraine is going smoothly.
Trump said during his meeting with Vladimir Zelensky, at the White House: “This conflict has been going on for a long time, and I believe we are making tremendous progress in resolving it. We will discuss that today.”
The US President, speaking about the possibilities of reaching a settlement, indicated that, “Everything is going well,” expressing his confidence in resolving the conflict.
US President Donald Trump stated that his scheduled meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Hungary will be bilateral, but Vladimir Zelensky will be in touch.
Trump said at the White House: “It will likely be a double meeting, but… Zelensky will be in touch.”
