Sisi: Africa has an opportunity to be at the forefront of participants in restoring global order despite the challenges
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed the importance of the role of the African continent in confronting international polarization, which has weakened the ability of multilateral institutions to perform their role.
President Sisi said, in a recorded speech during the opening session of the Aswan Forum for Peace and Sustainable Development, in the city of Aswan, today, Sunday: Africa, with its enormous resources, components and human wealth, has the opportunity to be at the forefront of participants in restoring the global order and strengthening the role of international organizations despite the challenges.
He added that we are currently witnessing the inability and failure of the international community to confront major humanitarian crises, stressing the importance of reconstruction and development after the cessation of conflicts and activating the policies of the African Union to achieve peace and sustainable development.
He pointed out that Africa stands at the forefront of those affected by the current international circumstances, which contribute to fueling violence and increasing development challenges, noting the importance of holding the Aswan Forum this year, especially since Africa is at the heart of the difficult tests the world is witnessing.
He continued that the Aswan Forum for Peace and Sustainable Development has succeeded, since its launch in 2019, in consolidating its position as a unique African platform to discuss challenges and formulate common visions that support peace and sustainable development on the continent .
